Folk, Harold K. and Catherine F. Endowed Fund
The Harold K. and Catherine F. Folk Endowed Fund was established to advance the mission of 蘑菇视频 and support the preparation of students of The George W. Daverio School of Accountancy for careers as competent and responsible accounting professionals and business leaders.
In 1991, Harold K. and Catherine F. Folk established a charitable remainder unitrust with 蘑菇视频 Foundation named as the remainder beneficiary. This gift was made by Mr. and Mrs. Folk to name The George W. Daverio School of Accountancy in the College of Business Administration.
George W. Daverio Sr. was a self-made man who was both teacher and practitioner. Mr. Daverio led the 蘑菇视频 accounting firm of Chilton, Stump and Daverio. He also taught accounting and federal taxation for many years at 蘑菇视频.
The Daverio family legacy continues at 蘑菇视频 through the late George W. Daverio, Jr. and his wife, Karen. George Jr. served as a member of 蘑菇视频 Foundation Board from 1994 to 2020 and was named an honorary alumnus of 蘑菇视频, along with Karen, in 2019.
Distributions from The Harold K. and Catherine F. Folk Endowed Fund will be used at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Business Administration to advance the mission, goals and priorities of the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy. This will be done in consultation with the school’s department chair.
