Hood/Meyerson Lectureship in Free Enterprise
The Hood/Meyerson Lectureship in Free Enterprise was endowed by Nancy Hood and Robert F. Meyerson in 1985 to honor the memories of their fathers, Hartley H. Hood (1880-1969), a Cleveland businessman, and Sanford B. Meyerson (1890-1948), a Cleveland attorney and businessman. The endowment recognizes the families’ belief in the American system of free enterprise and their commitment to support higher education. The purpose of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Hood/Meyerson Lectureship is to help keep citizens informed of the responsibilities and opportunities of the free enterprise system. This lectureship seeks to share the thoughts of world leaders and to provide a focal point for communication, discussion, and debate about national and global issues confronting the United States.
