Wicks, Gladys Memorial Scholarship Fund
The endowed Gladys Wicks Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in 1978 under the terms of the will of Gladys Wicks of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, provides four-year tuition support for a high school senior who preferably is a relative of someone currently employed by or retired from organized labor. Selection of the recipient is made by the University scholarship committee. Should the student selected fail to complete the four-year course of study, or should the scholarship on the four-year basis lapse or fail for any reason, then the income for such period of time of lapse or failure shall become a part of the scholarship principle and no further scholarship shall be awarded until after the passage of four years from the original date of the scholarship award.
