About the College
Founded in 2012, the College of Health and Human Sciences cultivates an interprofessional approach to training future health care professionals. In addition to recovery from illness, the College fosters a biopsychosocial perspective of human growth and development using a holistic wellness perspective. The College houses seven different schools focusing on a broad range of health-related professions, such as physical health, lifestyle development, and social and psychological well being.

Statement of Interprofessional Education
The College is committed to promoting interprofessional education (IPE) in order to enhance interprofessional healthcare. Because the healthcare landscape is rapidly evolving and health-related challenges are becoming more complex, College faculty and administration strive to cultivate well-rounded graduates who possess the knowledge and skills useful in working with a wide range of other healthcare professionals. In addition, IPE encourages a holistic perspective of health and human development. Through the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ-Region Interprofessional Area Health Education Center, College IPE simulations, and IPE-focused training students are introduced to an interprofessional worldview.

College Policy on Student Drug and Alcohol Use
The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) is dedicated to the safety and wellness of all students and the protection of those they serve. Therefore, the following drug and alcohol policy will be enforced for all CHHS students.
Unauthorized consumption, distribution, possession, use, or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited on campus, during remote/distance-learning activities, and during a student or trainee role off-campus for CHHS students and may result in discipline, including the inability to complete a program of study. Additionally, all students must understand and follow all program and school-related policies (e.g., student handbook procedures, web-based guidelines, etc) and non-university organizational policies while training off-campus.
Students alleged to have violated this policy will be referred to the Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards for discipline as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct. Students found responsible for a violation of this policy may be issued sanctions including but are not limited to, attendance at workshops, educational sanctions, disciplinary probation, suspension, dismissal, and other consequences appropriate to the violation.
