Assistance for concerns related to STIs

For students inquiring about being tested for sexually transmitted infections (also known as sexually transmitted diseases or STDs), the following options are available:

Enrolled students may schedule an appointment at Student Health Services where staff members are happy to address students' concerns about sexually transmitted infections. Testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis is available. The out-of-pocket cost for gonorrhea and chlamydia (urine) is $35. The out-of-pocket cost for the syphilis blood test is $5. Patients may also choose to use health insurance for these tests. If health insurance is used, an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) will be mailed to the policy holder of the insurance plan. This document will indicate what tests were submitted to the insurance. The EOB will not contain the results of the testing.

FREE HIV TESTING is offered at Community AIDS Network/Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Pride Initiative () at 759 W. Market St. in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. Patients may contact CANAPI at 330-252-1559 for questions and to make an appointment. The testing is confidential.
